Hello Japan

Hey peeps.

Sorry I haven't been keeping up with the stories, but we've been busy and it takes some time to write a solid email.

I am still enjoying the city immensely. We are just to walk out the door to embark on our 35 min. walk to the trade show. It's a wonderful walk filled with so much to take in. We also play slug whitey. It's like slug bug, but instead of VW's, you play with white folk.

The show has already been pretty successful. Nobody is "leaving paper" (which means writing a order here) but supposedly that is a common way the Japanese do business. They are a very educated customer who researches th e product before trying it. MJ has had a few interviews with magazine people here and we've met with some of the big department higer end dept. stores. I'm glad it is going well because I want to return!!!! I'm so selfish.

We have an interpreter helping us who is so gung-ho and a wealth of knowledge. I've been asking her all sorts of conversational Japanese. I impressed the people I was dining with last night when they heard me ask the waitress for another moment, please...chotto matte....

All is good, though I don;t think I'll be making it to kyoto. It's just too rushed for time and Meslissa wants to explore Tokyo more. I could go by myself, but the tickets aren't cheap. Guess i'll just have to wait till next time.
