Easter in Austin

Hi All,
I am hoping to attach a view pictures from the gathering at Grandma Rohlich's over the weekend. We all enjoyed having Margaret and her exchange student, Shantal (sp?) from Switzerland, join us.
The temperature was a record breaking 90+, but bearable.

Baptism pictures

Hi everyone! I love the family blog and seeing all the pictures. I'm a little computer challenged but I'm going to attempt a post on the blog. I want to send you all pictures of the McNally cousins who were all in town for Ella's baptism. These were taken in March. Love, Cathy

The Sunny Northwest

We had a wonderful visit with my folks up here. We went to Vancouver and Victoria and then hung out in Seattle a bit.

This is a picture of all of us at the famous Butchard gardens outside Victoria.

Mom and I went to the Skagit Valley tulip festival on Monday. Even though it was a little chilly, it was fun to see fields of tulips all around.

Hello from Japan!!

Hey Everyone!! It's springtime in Japan, and the cherry blossoms are blooming. This might be the last week that they're around. It's been pretty windy, so I have a feeling they're all going to fall down soon. This picture is the street outside my apartment. It's really beautiful!

Last night I went to Ueno Park in Tokyo to look at the cherry blossoms with a friend. There's a fantastic path that you can walk where the trees are hanging over you. It would be very romantic if it weren't lined with drunk groups of people. That's part of the fun though, as "viewing cherry blossoms" is just an excuse to get really drunk in a public park. It is quite fantastic.

It was great to see Amanda a couple of weeks ago when she was here for work. We had a couple great meals together. It also gave me a good chance to go into Tokyo. I live in Urayasu City, which is only about 20 minutes from Tokyo Station, and about 40 minutes from downtown Tokyo, but it's quiet, comfortable, convenient, and awesome here, so I hardly ever leave. I live 3 minutes from Tokyo Disneyland!

It's fun reading everyone's posts on here. I'll try to post more often from now on!

SXSW

i did a horrible job of taking pictures while in austin...so here are just a couple. me and clay in a bar (listening to music of course) and clay at barton springs...it was a little rainy that day so us wimpy LA folks did not swim. i heard grandma and james had a nice dip earlier that morning though!

i am heading home to northampton for easter to spend with mom. hopefully the sun will be shining on the east cost. it's pretty dreary over here.

love,
mary

Say "Ya" to the UP, Eh?

This is a picture of the house that Richard recently bought in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. He sent several pictures to Mom a couple of weeks ago. Yesterday he called to get Mary Ellen's phone number because he was near Nashville, and I heard that they had a nice visit. I'd like to visit Richard, but I'm going to wait until this snow is gone!
